Spend time in nature with family or friends and enjoy the comfort of our countryside guest house. The space offers room to relax together while still allowing privacy when needed. It features two bedrooms, including a master bedroom with a queen bed and a second bedroom with two single beds, along with two additional sleeping couches in the living area. This makes it well-suited to couples, families, or small groups looking to spend time together in a peaceful setting, while enjoying the ease and familiarity of a well-equipped home.
The guest house includes a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, a comfortable living and dining area for up to six people, and a private bathroom with a shower. Outside, a shaded terrace with seating offers space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. A pellet burner in the living room, along with gas heaters in each bedroom, helps keep the space warm and comfortable year-round.
For those seeking a little more comfort and privacy, the guest house offers a relaxed countryside stay with the convenience of modern amenities while remaining connected to the natural surroundings of the valley.

Comfortable accommodation close to nature
Set within the peaceful landscape of our Algarve valley, our two yurts offer a comfortable and private place to slow down, spend time outdoors and step away from the pace of everyday life.
Built using natural materials and positioned above the valley, the yurts enjoy open views across the surrounding countryside. They provide a quiet, comfortable base in the heart of the valley.
Our two yurts can accommodate up to six guests, with a maximum of three guests in each yurt. Each yurt is equipped with two single beds, which can be arranged together if preferred, as well as a sofa bed. There is a comfortable seating and table area inside the yurt as well as outside each yurt seating up to four people each.
Each yurt has a small one-hob gas stove for heating water for complimentary tea and coffee, along with its own private outdoor seating area overlooking the valley.
We are adding a dedicated outdoor kitchen area for yurt guests, which we expect to have available by spring 2027. Once completed, this is planned to include a hob and fridge. Please only expect these facilities once we have confirmed their available for their stay.
Each yurt has its own private composting toilet nearby and guests have access to enclosed hot shower facilities in the shared shower block. The swimming pool is exclusives to Valley of the Cross guests and may occasionally be shared with guests staying in our guesthouse.
Our yurts are well suited to couples, families or small groups looking for a peaceful countryside stay with plenty of space and privacy. They make an ideal base for exploring the Algarve, with beaches around 15 minutes away by car and Lagos, Portimão and Monchique all approximately 25 minutes away.
This is a rural nature stay, with steps and unpaved paths around the property, so it may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. For those who enjoy simple comforts, open space and being surrounded by nature, our two-yurt retreat offers a calm and memorable way to experience this part of the Algarve.
